about simran's apothecary

my name is simran & i love flowers, herbs, lotions and potions.

i make botanically-rooted products with the intention of harnessing the goodness found in nature to truly heal & strengthen our mind & skin.

 

i've always struggled with really dry skin on my body but oily, blemish-prone skin on my face. after trying hundreds of products from all around the world, i realised that what was most effective & what made me feel the happiest were products that had simple but pure ingredients, where every ingredient had a specific purpose, where using them felt like a delightful treat. 

no fillers. no fluff. no convoluted marketing. 

and i wish to bring the same experience to you.

each ingredient has been thoroughly researched by me and tested on willing humans (never animals!) who have an array of skin issues & skin types. each new product is also tested for a period of at least 4 - 6 weeks on these different skin types before being available for sale.

every product has been intentionally made by me, with my own hands. there's something truly magical about helping someone with something that's been crafted by you. it makes all the physical labour worth it.

i also believe that skincare should feel like a true experience, so i've taken my love for beautiful scents from flowers & herbs and infused them into my products. i've realised that the state of your mind influences your skin & vice versa, so it's important to treat both of them right. 

this apothecary is where i research, ideate, infuse, whip, mix, boil, decant, bottle, print, label, pack & mail out everything you see on this website. so i hope you'll understand that sometimes your orders may take longer to be made & delivered to you 😌
